Your safety and security is important to us

Brooklyn Heights is a densely populated neighborhood, where it is safe to walk around during the day and night. There is 24-7 security at the main Law School building at 250 Joralemon Street. Our largest student residence, Feil Hall, is also supported with 24-hour security. Read our annual security reports and procedures for more guidance:

Campus Alerts

Stay safe! In the case of a severe weather event or other emergency, the Brooklyn Law School campus may close or delay opening. Receive alerts so you can be contacted in the event of such changes. Below is the most up-to-date information on how the campus community will be notified.

Building Access

All members of the BLS community are required to have a valid Brooklyn Law School identification card, which should be carried at all times. Brooklyn Law School ID cards are issued to entering students and all employees. Your ID card must be presented every time you enter 250 Joralemon Street and Feil Hall. Fire Safety

These plans provide you with important information concerning your building such as your building’s construction type (combustible or non-combustible), sprinkler systems, means of egress and fire alarms. In addition, they provide you with basic fire prevention and fire preparedness measures.
